Hey Y’all!
Welcome to our new website and to a new feature of our website, a blog! What we are hoping to achieve with the blog is to discuss questions and concerns that are floating out there in the cycling community in general, hone in on specific cycling genres, highlight particular rides, highlight particular bikes, and have “guest” writers sharing their thoughts, opinions, rides, etc…. We are going to publish a new post every couple of weeks, so make sure you pop back to check to see what we are discussing!
Spring has been teasing the greater Treasure Valley for a bit now – going from the 70s one day to dropping to the low 50s the next, but we are used to Idaho weather and keep all of our cycling gear (i.e. warm gloves, toe covers, baselayers, long tights, long sleeve jerseys, skull caps, etc….) within easy reach at least through May. If you are reading this blog from another area in the States or around the world, what have spring riding conditions been like in your area?
Son’s on board 🙂
We have some staffing changes occurring at the shop, and we are extremely excited about them! The big one is, our oldest son, Christian is joining us at the shop! We are so excited for Christian to come on board and share not only his vast knowledge of cycling, but also his business acumen. Paul and I may be old dogs, but we welcome new, more efficient ways of doing things, which is what Christian will bring to the table. Stop in and say hello to him! We also have Beth Arhend, formerly of The Pulse Running and Fitness, joining our team! We are so fortunate to have someone like Beth joining our team, as she is going to bring her multi-sport (i.e. triathlons, running, and swimming) and outdoor industry knowledge to the shop, which will only serve to benefit you, our customers, and Paul and me.
And, we have a new mechanic talent in Chris Eodice joining us. When Chris isn’t out building mountain bike trails, which benefits all of us, he will be turning wrenches for us. Welcome Chris! I think I will wrap up our first post here, and please, if you would like to read about a certain subject or would like to contribute, shoot us a message!
Wishing you all Tail Winds/Flowing Single Track/Narly Downhills/Sweet, Buttery Gravel – pick your poison!
